Objective: Process Analyst/ Database Analyst/ Project Manager
My specialties are analysis, streamlining and implementation of processes by using key software tools for automation. Companies strain to do more with less making my skills essential. My experience, as shown below, is extensive in project management, process development, and relational database development. I have experience with companies large and small, helping each become more efficient in their diverse processes. I am highly adept at learning new programs, new systems and new processes to accommodate each need.
Stanford Hospital and Clinics – Adecco & SHC Jan-2007 - Present Palo Alto, CA
Sr. Quality Analyst & Database Analyst II / Access DBA
Develop new metrics and indicators for many prominent departments at Stanford and utilizing new methodologies to track progress.
Work closely with physicians to build new metrics or data mine to support best practice outcomes. (Anesthesia, Otolaryngology, Orthopaedic, General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Colorectal)
Develop MS Access Database to calculate The Joint Commission Core Measure algorithms, AHRQ government health indicators, Patient Safety Net Metrics Development (PSN)
Engagement with vendor to perform quality assurance for implementation of Business Objects for the new internal data warehouse.
Ad-hoc reports executed with crisp knowledge of data model within SHC based on administrative data to show trends through run or control charts.
Continued to support Excel working templates and macro development
Documentation of processes and training manuals
My specialty at SHC has been to analyze data and automate reports using Access, Crystal, MIDAS+, Web Intelligence and other software as needed. I developed databases to track and trend AHRQ PSI metrics and Core Measures that were reported on a quarterly and monthly basis utilizing both MIDAS and Access processes. I utilized Access to track PSN System that leverage the UHC downloads to generate canned reports as well as other ad-hoc report capabilities. For preexisting processes using VBA code, I would troubleshoot and modify the code as needed in Excel and Access. I would create useful views in MIDAS Report Track and data extracts from DataVision to facilitate data needs through ODBC connections to other databases. Education in Six Sigma methodologies and statistical analysis using Minitab 14.
